After nearly three decades in the garden building industry, Pete and Brian know the craft inside out.

For years they helped build one of the most established and recognised timber garden building manufacturers in the UK. They’ve designed them, built them, installed them, and seen thousands of customers transform unused garden space into offices, studios and places to work, create and grow.

But over time, something changed.

As production scaled and the industry shifted toward speed and margins, the things that first drew them to the trade – craftsmanship, pride in the build, and doing things properly started to get lost. The work became more about output than quality, and less about the people behind the buildings.

At the same time, life outside of work was evolving too.

Pete and his family began fostering children, something incredibly important to them that required more flexibility and balance than traditional employment could provide.

Brian, meanwhile, wanted to spend more time with his children and grandchildren and enjoy the moments that matter most.

Both found themselves at a similar crossroads. So they made a decision.

Instead of continuing down the same path, they decided to build something different, a business rooted in the values that made them fall in love with the trade in the first place.

That’s how Nenehaven Garden Buildings was born.
